Find Clinical Supervision or a Peer Supervision Group

A free list of registered practitioners on Therapist Circle who offer clinical supervision, or who’d like to join or run a peer supervision group. Below it, there’s a short guide to what supervision is and where to find your own professional body’s requirements.

Please read. This is general information, not legal, financial or professional advice. Your regulator and professional body set the rules that apply to you, and they change, so their own websites are always the final word. We checked the facts on this page on each organisation’s own website on 21 October 2026. If you’re unsure, ask your professional body, insurer or a qualified adviser.

Supervisors and Peer Groups

Only members who choose to opt in appear here, and only once their registration has been checked and their listing is live. A listing isn’t a recommendation, so please check registration, training and fit yourself. Members can add or remove themselves at any time from their Account page.

What Is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is a regular, confidential space to talk through your work with an experienced colleague, so you can reflect on it and keep it safe, effective and ethical. It’s different from line management. Many practitioners also meet in peer supervision groups, where colleagues at a similar level support each other’s reflection.

The HCPC describes supervision as “a core component of maintaining safe and effective practice in all sectors and settings and at all levels of practice”, and notes that it “may look different across different professions”. BACP’s Ethical Framework says supervision “is essential to how practitioners sustain good practice throughout their working life”.

Your Professional Body Sets the Requirements

Each regulator and professional body sets its own expectations for supervision, such as whether it’s required, how often, and what qualifications a supervisor needs. These differ between professions and change over time, so we don’t list them here. Please read your own body’s current guidance:

Questions to Ask a Possible Supervisor

  • Does supervising with you meet my professional body’s requirements?
  • What supervision training and experience do you have, and with which client groups and approaches?
  • How often would we meet, for how long, online or in person, and what does it cost?
  • How will we agree a supervision contract, handle confidentiality and keep notes?
  • What happens if I have an urgent concern between sessions?

Offer Supervision or Join a Peer Group

If you’re a member, tick “I offer clinical supervision” and/or “Open to joining or running a peer supervision group” on your Account page. You can add the approaches and formats you supervise, and a fee range if you’d like to show one. Not a member? Joining is free, and new practitioners may find our starter kit useful.
